The Orbiter 1000 stealth 6.0 is our latest and most advanced mobile camera seat released in 2018. It is a synthesis of all we learned since 2001 about which characteristics a mobile camera low shooter in outside broadcasting must have.
It was designed to match all requirements in one unit, making it a multipurpose solution. We integrated best possible operability with a minimum of manpower needed for the entire handling including transport as well as compactness for storage and a small footprint at the camera position.
Integrating and extending the features of other Orbiter camera seats the Orbiter 1000 6.0 does not require time consuming assembling. There is only a minimum of effort needed for set up and dismantling, achieved by a simple but effective fold away design. Positioned, unfolded and levelled in seconds the Orbiter 1000 is ready for further set up of the camera. There are no baseplates, legs or platforms to be mounted anymore. This is important in outside broadcasting with it's high number of productions to be realised in short time, so of course the Orbiter 1000 comes in a trolley and can quickly be rolled from the truck to the spot.
Like all our other Orbiter camera seats the Orbiter 1000 provides a very low shooting position which can easily be adapted by means of different camera risers we deliver, adapting in height and as well from 4 hole flat to Mitchel mount if needed.
The Orbiter 1000 is taylor made for very critical camera positions for instance the centre pitch camera at soccer. Close to coaches and the fourth referee space is limited and views must be unrestricted. The Orbiter 1000 6.0 can be placed almost everywhere without interfering with anybody working close to it. The small footprint allows to place it even at positions where space is extremely restricted.
At soccer matches it can be used at all low shooting cameras close to the pitch. At tennis broadcasts it comes in handy if positioned close to the net and at athletics it is used at the end of jump discipline areas, but there are countless applications.
The Orbiter 1000 allows independent movement of camera and seat on the same axis and pans over 360° at a very low level providing effortless handling and adjusting, easy operation and trouble-free movement without disturbances due to its central cable feeding.
The most remarkable and patented feature of this system is that contrary to other cameraseat systems, the seat is not directly connected to the center column. Almost no shock motion is transmitted from the operator to the camera as the camera column is not loaded by the operator's weight. The unlinked rotation on the same axis also avoids unwanted movement of the camera when moving the seat.
The new Orbiter 1000 stealth 6.0 comes with a sturdy center bearing, providing smoothest possible, gentle and steady rotation allowing perfect panning.
Comprehensive testing proved high durability even under extreme conditions in terms of temperature and mechanical impact. Maintenance is reduced to almost zero.
